Skiing
I've been skiing for as long as I can remember,
perhaps longer. Some of my earliest memories are of winter, snow and
the mountains. Growing up in Colorado, my magnetic attraction to
skiing came naturally. In elementary school I joined a ski club and
started a weekly winter tradition that I still subscribe to today. For
some, winter weekends are a time to sit back and watch football —weekends
for me are a time to ski. Though I should be careful not to
emphasize weekends, any day of the week is wholly suited for descending a
snowy mountain.
Forty: the bottom line for the days a person should ski per season in order to be considered a true patron of that art. I am a patron...
Mountain Biking
My initial realization of freedom was achieved when my
parents first let go of the seat of my bmx bicycle and I became conscious
of that fact. These days I ride a slightly larger, full-suspension
rig whose price tag, in respective terms for a bicycle, equals that of a
mid-priced German sports car. On any given evening, you may find me riding
around and on the majestic sandstone and granite outcroppings of Red Rocks
and Dinosaur ridge in Colorado's Morison valley.

...well, let's
just say it wasn't legal.
The fastest
I've ever ridden my mountain bike:
...well, let's just say it wouldn't be legal on any road with a speed
limit below 45.
Guitar
My guess is that 95% of all people who start playing
guitar have the same intention as I did —to become a rock star. Though I
rarely play my electric guitar, I suppose there is still a hint of that
dream when I play any one of my other three guitars.
I can make some sort of a noise, not necessarily brilliant, with my 12-string, classical, acoustic, and electric guitars.
Photography
I became involved in fine art photography during high
school —I made use of the dark-room on the second floor of the west-wing
of GWHS. I have a passion for black
and white macro photography, though I dabble in
landscape and action photography as well.
